Call for Papers


DBS Business Review ( is a cross institutional, open access, peer reviewed academic journal which is published on an annual basis. The inaugural issue was launched in September 2017 with submissions from across the higher education sector including University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, Ulster University, Waterford Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, Dublin Business School and others. The journal is currently seeking content for Volume 2 which will be published in September 2018. The closing date for submissions is March 30th, 2018.

The journal welcomes academic papers, original research, as well as reflections written within the frameworks of accounting and finance, innovation and design, digital media, management, marketing, international business, corporate governance, business ethics, human resource management, retail management, IT, fintech, data analytics, event management, strategy, project management, business law and other related areas.

A unique feature of the journal is that it publishes high quality research by undergraduate and postgraduate students alongside faculty research. Additionally, the journal seeks to dismantle some of the boundaries that exist between disciplines such as Business and Arts, accepting submissions with an interdisciplinary focus. Submissions from practitioners in the business community are also welcome.

DBS Business Review is published by Dublin Business School Library. Dublin Business School Library also publishes Studies in Arts and Humanities ( which is listed on the Directory of Open Access Journals and is indexed on an international EBSCO research database.
